AFAIK, you are correct but its not a localtalk/ethernet issue. It is a protocol issue with Windows vs. Mac. Even if he had an Etherprint bridge, it still wouldn't work.
The Windows computer is only looking a Windows compatible print server or printer share and it won't find one. PCMacLan on the PC is probably the best bet. Because the printer is connected through Localtalk, it still needs to be shared by the Mac so that may make it a bit more complicated... I can't think of a cheaper/free solution to the problem of networking a localtalk printer. Trishan P.S. For those who remember my Linux issues, I gave up on trying to access a Linux Printer with netatalk and papd. My workaround was to just create an LPR print spool on the Mac. I'll make a webpage sometime... this whole Linux thing was way more complicated than I expected! ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Amber Rhea <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >AFAIK you need additional software.
