Yes!

In fact, in true Mac fashion, it is far simpler to connect to a Windows file server
with an OSX Mac than with a Windows computer.

Choose "Go... Connect to server..." from the Finder.

Type:

    "smb://<server_name>/<share_name>"

where <server_name> is the IP address, fully qualified domain name (host.domain.com),
or the Windows network neighborhood name if the Windows computer is in the local
network...
...and <share_name> is the name of the share on that server.

Hit "Connect" and you'll be prompted for the workgroup name, user name and password.

That's it. No Network Neighborhood, no editing the lmhosts.sam file and rebooting, no
of that garbage; just one line to type in the "Connect to server..." panel.

Goood luck!
