Hi all, Yesterday I was offered by the editor in chief of 'MacFan', the most widely read Dutch magazine dedicated to Mac users (or maybe even the only one!) , to write an article on Linux for Macs. He was a bit reluctant in the first place but I convinded him of the fact that (old) Macs can still be used in a network environment of Macs (and PC's) to serve other computers. He was also pleased with my website. So basically he wants me to write a story on the use of these old type Macs as printserver, mailserver, FTP-server, firewall, router etc. The article has to be not too technical (not too many command lines and stuff).
The problem is that I don't have any experience with this. But I still would like to write an article about it because it helps to promote Linux to a huge group of Dutch Apple users. I will probably also tell something good about Mandrake as one of the easiest to use distributions out there. So basically I ask you to provide me with tips, links etc. Anything that helps me to write something properly. If I succeed in this mission I may write more articles, e.g. about the use of FilemakerPro on Macs and Linux as database. So PLEASE HELP ME. It might help to reach a LARGE GROUP OF APPLE USERS.
