Greetings Listas,
This is my 1st post here...I hope that someone can offer guidance in this area.
I have a Pismo and an iMac SE 400 hooked up to the graphite Airport base
station and it is working perfectly for me. The problem I have is that my old ISP
shut down last week and I had to go to Earthlink for connection. Under the old ISP
I was able to run the Mac's on Airport while my college student son ran his Gateway
at the same time into the ISP on the 2nd phone line without any problem. I believe
that if I continue the same idea with Earthlink it will be at an additional cost
for a 2nd line in at the same time. I just got a 3COM Wireless LAN PCI NIC Card
for the Gateway at the Penn State Computer Center and can't seem to figure out how
to set it up so it will access the Airport base station.
Does anyone on the list have any knowledge as to how to go about this? The guy
at PSU said something about settings in the Airport dealing with encryption or some
such thing. At the very least, does anyone know where I can go to get such info?
Thanks in advance,
Mike Kochkodin
