No DSL is truly permanent. Your connection will drop when your provider does
network upgrades/maintenance or experiences trouble. Getting a good DSL
router is about the only thing you can do to enhance reliability. Otherwise
it's out of your hands.

A single base station should serve you fine. It'll be more reliable than
your DSL, no doubt.
