I'm wondering if it is possible to make use of an Epson laser printer I have laying around the office. It only has a parallel port.
I have a router with print spooler capability (SMC704ABR). The manual only talks about printing from Windows or *nix. Each computer needs a print client. However, I also have a version (4.5) of Powerprint with drivers that will run this printer (it emulates HP LaserJet). One aspect of this, as I think about it, is the router is accessed via TCP/IP, and therefore that is how the printer would be communicated with. I wonder if this version of PowerPrint can do that? So, before I go spending some time messing with it, does anyone have any idea if the PowerPrint drivers could be used to print to the printer attached to the print spooler? Trying to see if I can do this for cheap...
