Ugh... ok, here's the next step in my quest.

Now the client says he wants to access the Appletalk network thru the VPN
connection. He plans to use PPTP.

If I setup an Apple Remote Access server on the inside of the VPN server,
and run a VPN client on the remote Mac, will they be able to use ARA over
that connection and gain access to the AppleTalk network and browse the
resources thru the chooser?

That is the way I understood it to work. The VPN client makes a
connection to the VPN server, and then from there everything else works
as if you have direct TCP/IP access to the LAN. So with an ARA server
going, I should be able to make the VPN connection first, and then the
ARA connection over that, and have full AppleTalk access. Am I on the
right track?
