To qoute Bill Clinton, "I FEEL YOUR PAIN!" Be glad you don't live in the northeast and have to deal with Verizon! > I have > now acquired a "D-Link" Cable/DSL Internet Gateway DI-704 via swap. Right now I'm using a Linksys 4-port hub which is advertised as being "Windows compatable" - no instructions as to how to use it with other operating systems. So far it works just fine with all flavors of Mac Classic OS (7.6 thru 9.0.4), BeOS, and Linux, set up as a "DHCP server" I imagine (and hope) that it would work with Jaguar, Solaris, BSD, and QNX as well (since those machines are coming). If your router/hub can be configured with a web browser, then you are in business. Try entering 192.168.1.1 into your web browser and see if the router/hub responds. If it does then you will need to work your way through it, which you can do by trial and error if you don't have instructions. If there is a mechanical "reset" button or switch on the router/hub, press it and hold it for a few seconds to reset everything.
