If this is the same gizmo I found a year or two ago, it is designed to 
make a "localtalk" printer work on an ethernet network. Most likely 
wouldn't be much good to a non-Apple printer. The one I have (a "Micro 
AsantePrint") only works for printers and won't work on a network with 
"autosensing" switches.
