I tackled it. a) In os 7.5 and 8.1 I had to enter some server address from my isp which I didn't need to do in 9.1
b) Made appletalk active via ethernet c) Finally we had ip addresses and was talking between machines and connected to the web. Not 100% sure why yet. Now if I can get my localtalk printer to show up through an Asantetalk device..... May just be a power up sequence issue.
