Happy New Year to all!

I have had an Airport network in my home for 3 years now and an happy to a
point. I believe I need more range than before due to possible undetermined
interference in the neighborhood, or else performance of the base station,
which has been replaced once already under warranty. I just don't get the
reception I used to.

I bought a new 12 inch PB for my wife and I continue to use an iBook, one of
two in the house, plus an iMac is also on the network along with a WET 11
bridge for a network printer and original iMac. Everything in the house is
wired in to the network. The PB needs more signal, however.

Now that I have an Extreme card in the PB, should I consider installing an
Extreme base station? Would I pick up range from the same emplacement in the
house? What about a WDS using the original base station? Apple says this is
not possible - is there a hack?

Suggestions? I hate to think I need to spend $400 for two base stations to
blanket the house with the best signal strength...but what else can I do?

What about two Linksys WAP 11? Will they work under an all Mac environment?
Any administrative issues?

Geoff
