Thanks for all the help. I don't own the LAN 1 - and will not be deciding what wireless system they choose. So it turns out that I - the owner of LAN 2 - will have to adapt to whatever LAN 1 turns out to be.... A kind of a wrinkle on the whole effort, but unavoidable....
