Some of these depend on what version of Mac OS X you are running, 10.0, 10.1, 10.2, or 10.3?
You can share your internet connection from the eMac with your iBook.
You could buy an Apple AirPort BaseStation without modem or antenna for cheaper than the model that comes with those items.
You could buy an AirPort Express which you can use as a basestation to share your eMac's internet connection over a longer distance.
You could buy a 3rd party base station for less pending on which features you want and how much ease of setup you want.
