Greetings,

I have a small issue at one of the schools, where I do support. This summer, we moved a HP LaserJet 4000n from a department to an office, to temporarily replace a printer sent in for major repair.

Now that the school year is about to start, we are ready to move the printer to it's school year location. However, the printer will now only print when it is attached to the hub it has been connected to all summer. When one attempts to print to the printer, when attached to other locations I have connected to, other than that hub, I get the following message, "Attempting to connect to host 192.168.14.21 on port 9100". That message lasts about 90 seconds and the computer shows a failed connection. When I move the unit back to the hub, it works fine.

I am using IP printing to print, but the printer also shows up, when plugged into the hub where it works, as an AppleTalk printer. It does not when plugged into another hub or into another switch port in the server room. It does this when using a wireless or hard wired connection.

Anyone have any ideas on what I'm missing here? I'd appreciate any and all ideas. Thanks for the help.

Geof
