Hi,

Did you (or her) changed the router config ?
It looks loke it is in bridging mode.

Maybe re-conigure it
(I do not have a 3com, but I do program soho routers a lot)
(they are very similar)

Adsl or cable ? That is important to know

Cable
=====
- Most of the time "dynamic ip" is the choice
- clone mac ? Try without
Other menus (if any) should be easy to fill

Adsl
====
Pppoe or pppoa ?
Select the correct one
You must provide a user id and a password
The rest is easy
Deselect the 'disconnect on idle'
Select 'allways reconnect'
Set mtu to 1492

Now many soho routers cannot do pppoa.
It is then done on the adsl modem
The router must then be in 'dynamic ip'
Do as 'cable', but set mtu to 1492 instead of 1500

Hope this help

Or give more details

Reargs, t. jacobson
