I have a Mac clone desktop (200/604e running MacOS 8.6) with a PCI Ethernet card installed and I
need to determine what driver to download. I am not able to see any
name on the card such as "Asante", etc. but have taken down as many of
the numbers as possible hoping someone can help me ID this card. I
want to connect to a cable modem via the card.
It is labeled PCI Ethernet 100 Base-TX Adapter
ID: 00A04B09A5D8
GU0038735
Rev. 2.1
The main chip on the card bears the "MacOS" 2-toned blue trademark.
Other than these numbers I cannot find any hint of just what driver this card needs to work properly with the installed OS 8.6. The exterior back outside the PCI slot shows 4 green LEDs, only one of which lights up when the computer is running, thus I take it to mean the Ethernet card is getting power but lacks the proper driver.
Just how do I go about this quandary?
Thanks to all for any help!
