New iBooks can be overclocked

It appears that the latest iteration of their consumer portable can be overclocked
using a software-only hack
A utility available utility from Apple can be used to overclock a 700MHz iBook to
800MHz, according to XLR8 Your Mac reader "Donatello." The key is the IBM G3 750FX CPU
used in the consumer portable, which allows the CPU/bus ratio to be adjusted using a
software utility -- CHUD tools (a cursory search for CHUD from Apple''s homepage
yielded no results).
Of course, overclocking the CPU in any Mac will void the warranty, but the existance
of this hack -- if it can be called that -- is an interesting testament to the varying
approaches to chip design between IBM and Motorola.
