CD Session Burner 1.0 Released for OS X
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
June 21st 2002

Multisession without Toast in OS X.

Following its successful beta program, CD Session Burner 1.0 for OS X has been
released. CD Session Burner uses Apple''s Disc Burner technology to burn multisession
CDs.

Normally, Disc Burner will burn single-session CDs, regardless of whether the data
totals 10K or 500MB. CD Session Burner overcomes this limitation by burning as many
sessions as the CD''s capacity can hold. Neither Toast nor Discribe is not required to
achieve this functionality. As in OS 9, multiple sessions of the CDR or CDRW mount on
the OS X desktop.

CD Session Burner is shareware and is available for $17 from developer James
Sentman''s site.

Analysis: I tried the beta of this on my Lombard and Wallstreet and, amazingly, it
seemed to cure the problems I was having with Toast recognizing my SCSI burner. YMMV,
but it worked for me.
