Jaguar: More Features, More Speed

This cat roars.
Apple is adding more features to the latest Jaguar (OS X 10.2) builds, as well as
ramping up the speed, according to ThinkSecret.
The story says the latest builds'' speeds have been "excellent" and "astounding",
particularly given they are pre-release versions.
ThinkSecret has also released a number of screen shots, demonstrating that Apple has
refined Aqua''s look and feel. New features include four levels of font antialiasing
(optimized for CRTs and LCDs). LCDs get much improved imaging.
Handwriting recognition, known as Ink, have also been tested by ThinkSecret, and Apple
have overhauled the interface and performance has apparently been good in MS Word.
Expanded info dialog boxes - including special info such as tags for MP3 files - are
also new to Jaguar. DVD screenshots are another big change. Other mods include changes
to BlueTooth software, NetBoot in the Startup Disk preference pane and a completely
revamped Mac Help with added tech docs for Jaguar.
Analysis: We hope the rumors of an August 22 early release are right.
