Whinging to great effect

Apparently complaints about a lack of reduced Jaguar upgrade pricing have been heard,
kind of
Macintouch reports, quoting an anonymous source, that Apple will announced OS
Up-to-date pricing ($19.95) for those who purchase OS X 10.1.3 or OS X Server from
July 17 until August 24. Here''s a quote:
"Apple will announce on Wednesday that they will extend the offer for a $19.95 upgrade
to 10.2 for those customers who purchase retail boxes of 10.1.3 and OS X Server from
July 17th until August 24. Unknown at this point whether these upgrades will be
available locally or via direct-from-Apple."
Analysis: If true, this is good news but unlikely to mollify many of those seeking
reduced pricing for those who purchased a new Mac or OS X before July 17. I think a
more reasonable policy would be for Apple to offer Up-to-date pricing for those who
purchased product up to 60 days before Jaguar''s release.
