Get a Mac with Linux preloaded

Terra Soft is offering stock Apple computers that ship with Yellow Dog Linux
ready-to-boot
Terra Soft Solutions, an authorized Apple Value Added Reseller, has announced the
immediate availability of Macs that ship, ready-to-boot with the company''s
industry-leading Yellow Dog Linux (YDL).
Currently, Terra Soft offers stock PowerMac (800, dual 1GHz), iBook (600, 700MHz
12.1-inch LCD) and iMac (700, 800MHz 15-inch LCD) preloaded with YDL. Prices tend to
be a bit higher than Apple''s own lists -- i.e. 700MHz G4 iMac for $1,474 or 800MHz G4
PowerMac $1,699. A complete list of prices and specifications can be found here.
The company also offers these and other PowerPC-based systems (Briqs, GVS rackmount
systems, Marathon enclosures) in clusters for use in scientific and industrial
applications.
Analysis: It is true that you could purchase YDL and a PowerMac for a good deal less
than Terra Soft''s advertised price but installing Linux can be a real bear,
especially for those unfamiliar with the OS.
