Detto announces multi-license Move2Mac
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

A better way for service providers and their customers to migrate
Detto Technologies has announced that Move2Mac, its upcoming migration solution that
allows PC users to migrate personal data, preferences and settings to a Mac, will be
available in multi-license packs for small business and service providers.
"Since announcing Move2Mac, we''ve been inundated with calls from small businesses and
Service Providers," said Larry Mana''o," CEO. "With the offering of multi-pack
licenses, Detto is specifically fulfilling their request. Both small businesses and
service providers recognize the value that Move2Mac''s PC to Mac migration will offer
to the marketplace. Small businesses benefit through the elimination of the manual
process; service providers offer a significant value-add to their customers."
"The Computer Store is focused on solving prevalent industry problems, customer value,
ROI, and recognizing the best revenue opportunities," said Sean Luckman, vice
president, sales, The Computer Store. "Move2Mac provides us with a solution that
solves all three problems."
Move2Mac will be available in five,10, 20 and 50 multi-license packs and will include
both web and phone-based activation. Pricing begins at $240 MSRP for a five-license
pack. Product will be available in late September.
Analysis: This is another "helping honest people stay honest" sort of deal. On the
other hand, this is sort like licensing one lawn mower to cut grass on more than one
lawn. When is software just a tool, like a screwdriver, and when is it necessarily a
site/machine-specific piece of IP?
