Apple Expected to Release iPhoto Update this Month

Photo-editing iApp reported to get maintenance release shortly.
ThinkSecret s reporting that Apple will release an updated version of iPhoto in
October. Nick de Plume says that the source is "reliable", but there are no details on
the feature set.
It is unclear whether this will be a dot point release, or iPhoto 2.0, but the
relative youth of the iApp suggests that the revision will merely incorporate bug
fixes, interface improvements and perhaps some additional minor features.
iPhoto, released at MWSF last January, was also the first iApp to be designed
exclusively for OS X. Upgraded versions of Apple's consumer applications, such as
iTunes 3.0, have followed iTunes' lead by being available only for OS X.
Analysis: I must confess I'm not a real iPhoto user, as I don't own a digicam. I've
also found it disappointingly sluggish on my 'low-end' G3 PowerBook. But you can't
complain about the price.
