'Shop Late. Stuff Early' is Apple's latest lure

Available only at brick-n-mortar stores, the mothership will offer stocking stuffers,
free gift wrap and a chance to win an iMac
Apple has announced the "Shop Late. Stuff Early" promotion, which it bills as a chance
to "get a head start on your holiday shopping." On Friday, Nov 29 (the day following
Turkey Day) from 6:00pm to midnight, brick-n-mortar Apple Stores will be running an
event you won�t want to miss. Starting at 6:00pm sharp, shoppers can enjoy free
stocking-stuffers, special values and a chance to win a new 15-inch iMac.
Additionally, shoppers can choose to have their purchases wrapped in festive paper
designed by Rex Ray.
Editor's note: I don't know a Rex from a Ray, but wrapping should be considered a
basic service -- year round. Also, I would think that a season-long series of in-store
promos would have more impact that a one-off event on the busiest shopping day of the
year.
