Motorola G4/1.3GHz MPC7447, MPC7457 for PowerBooks?

Low power, higher octane Moto CPUs look well-suited to a PowerBook revamp.
A Motorola media release notes the introduction of two new Motorola PowerPC G4s, the
MPC7457 and MPC7447 [attrib. MacGeneration]
The new processors run at 1.0-1.3MHz clock speeds, and the press release emphasises
their low power consumption - a mere 10 watts when operating at 1GHz. The 7457 appears
to be pin-compatible with earlier iterations of the low-power G4 used in PowerBooks
[the PPC 7455].
The new 7457 differs from the 7447 in providing L3 cache support up to 2MB, and 512K
of L2 cache, doubling the 256K on the older 7455.
The lower-octane 7447 has no L3 cache support, but otherwise has the same feature set
as the 7457. Motorola notes that 'lower-power' versions of the 7447 and 7457 operate
at speeds up to 1GHz currently.
Analysis: Now there's a portable PowerPC roadmap to like. Motorola sees blade servers
as one of its markets for the 74xx, but equally we can see their deployment in future
PowerBooks. The 7457 for the 17'/15", maybe, and the 7447 for Mini-Me. I'm almost
disinclined to consider there's a prospect of a G4 iBook now that the G4-12 is out (of
which more soon).
