Sacrilege: Apple IIe Has Intel Inside
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
March 7th 2003

Man makes himself unwitting target of MacEvangelists.

In his desire to play Quake, a man has managed to rip the guts from his Apple IIe and
installed a...Pentium.

A Pentium II, mind, but an x86 processor nonetheless.

"I designed it in such a way that I could put almost any standard ATX motherboard
inside," Craig Noll says in an Inquirer story. "It just happens that I don't have a
Pentium 4 or anything in that range."

Craig says he'd like feedback on his project. You can mail (not flame him) here.

There're also a few pics of his IIe project at the Inquirer
