Connect to a PC, work with programs, files across a network
Microsoft's MacBU (Mac Business Unit) has released Remote Desktop Connection Client
1.0.1 for Mac (RDCC), which allows a user to connect to a Windoze-based computer and
work with programs and files on that computer.
To connect to a Windows-based computer, you need network access and permissions to
connect to the computer, and the computer must be running Terminal Services or Remote
Desktop Services.
The following Windoze products support Remote Desktop connections:
... XP Professional
... Server 2003
... 2000 Server
... 2000 Advanced Server
... 2000 Datacenter Server
... NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition
Editor's note: Though setting up a PC to do these things isn't rocket science, it's
nevertheless quite easy to get bogged down in Windoze seemingly endless maze of
dialogs and settings panels. If at first you don't succeed...
