.Mac: Exclusive online Jaguar training
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
March 19th 2003

A bit long in the tooth, but 'free' for subscribers nevertheless

Apple is at it again. They've added another members-only benefit to its .Mac online
service, Mac OS X Jaguar training. Here's their spin from the .Mac homepage:

This award-winning Mac OS X Jaguar training, a $30 value. is now an exclusive gift for
.Mac members. Take control of your e-mail, set up your computer for multiple users,
share a printer using Airport, you'll learn to do it all. This online training is
modular, so you can pick and choose the sections that interest you. Includes helpful
tips and QuickTime movies."

As IGM has reported over the months, Apple has continuously sought to add value to its
.Mac services in order to boost enrollment, which one must assume is lackluster at
best. The two most recent lures are: a Windows XP/iDisk utility and a "free" copy of
Aladdin's Drop Stuff.

Editor's note: Whether you're a .Mac subscriber/fan or not, you've got to admit
they've been fairly tenacious in adding little things to make the service more
appealing.

Of course, the question before the house tonight is "Is it enough?"
