Mini-Me Gets a Mini-Dock

Click 'n' dock for your new AlumBook.
It's not quite a Mini-Dock like the PowerBook Duo of old, but close enough. And vastly
superior. BookEndz has announced their BookEndz Docking Station for the PowerBook
G4-12, which is due to ship in May.
BookEndz offers a range of docks for the PowerBook G4-15 (Titanium), Dual USB iBook,
and the iPod.
The Mini-Me Dock will have FireWire, USB, video and audio-out ports. The docks are
designed to eliminate messy cabling snaking from the side or rear of your 'Book,
allowing you to simply slide the PowerBook in or out to connect to peripherals if and
when necessary.
The price for the PowerBook-12 dock was not available at time of publication, but the
Titanium dock retails for $229.95, while the iBook dock costs $159.95. Older PowerBook
docks for Lombards, Pismos and early-model Titaniums are also available.
Analysis: I've always wanted one of these, and if you use your Power/iBook as a
portable desktop, with monitor, FireWire devices etc. hooked up regularly, it can save
a lot of time. But if you're miserly like me, you might also shudder slightly at the
price.
