OK, I ended up creating a new iCloud account for her. That account contains only a single contact with her name that I marked as "her card". That was my only issue and so far it seems to be working fine.
What is the "My info / My Card" used for anyway? Identifying the name to be used for Siri? Anyway, thanks for the suggestions.
