The best back-up method is the one you use.
        You're on a mac, use Time Machine. It's not the best and it's not fast 
but it's automatic and it sort of happens to your local disk when you're away 
from your TM volume for a long time and you can edit the frequency to every 30 
mins if you feel that's really necessary.

        For documents and files you change more frequently, Google Drive and 
Dropbox are two good backup-storage-syncing solutions that work great for 
documents &  photo backups.

        If you're willing to spend $5 / month, Mozy (mozy.com) is a great 
backup-storage-sync solution, too. Though for the same money, you get a lot
