Hi Larry,

Thanks for your response.

In fairness to the vendor, I was also looking at their 5-disk thunderbolt 
units.  It was in reference to those that they said thunderbolt does not 
support RAID 5 or RAID 10.

Sorry for the confusion.  I was trying to keep my original message short, and 
in the process I forgot to include some relevant information.

Nevertheless, it seems as if some vendors (such as the one you cited) do 
support various other RAID configurations with their thunderbolt arrays.

What about my inquiry about trying to use Disk Utility to fashion my own RAID 
10 from a pair of 2-disk units?  Do you think that's possible?
