It's very hard to say.
Perhaps it would be better to replace the exit() calls with return ?
(But this would require patching dozens of individual metaconfig units,
which might not be the best use of Jarkko's time right now.)
We can perhaps also simply eliminate the voidflags testing, which is where
at least some of the errors are appearing.
