Hi All,

I've filed a few bug reports about existing issues with Mac OS X/Darwin
and Perl 5.8.0.
The issue with the Berkeley DB library being out of date probably existed
in Apple's bug report system already, but since the interface offered me
no way to find it, I created a new report, with the radar # 3021743. I
also created a bug report at OpenDarwin.org, which you can find here:

   http://www.opendarwin.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=73

There are also some issues with the strftime function on OS X. There is an
existing Perl bug report for it here:

   http://bugs.perl.org/perlbug.cgi?req=bug_id&bug_id=20020305.022&format=H&;
trim=25&range=1211

And an OpenDarwin report for it here:

   http://www.opendarwin.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33

I've also created an Apple Bug report for it, and the radar number is
3021747.

So if anyone would like to chime in, great! The squeaky wheel gets the
grease. We all want Perl to be a first-class programming language for Mac
OS X, and I think that getting these bugs fixed will go a long way towards
achieving that goal.

Regards,

David
