In my environment we use Perl (Classic MacPerl actually) to distribute various utilities used for our build/version control process. Although we keep complete MacPerl installation instructions on hand (including what to install from CPAN, etc.) essentially all of my users use the prebuilt MacPerl standalone applications we provide. Without going into too much detail, this means we are already used to dealing with packaging our own Perl modules into our (large) distribution. As we look to the OS X port of our utilties (waiting mostly on the Carbon port of Mac::AppleEvents being done by Chris Nandor) my biggest concern has been how to simplify the installation process for my users. Distributing as a single CamelBones bundle has the potential to solve that problem completely for me.
