Yes the database hosting is still down, for over a week now.  Tracking
issue for the current outage:

Search earlier this year webapp issues, for more details.  As you noticed,
you can get any port's detail pages if you insert the exact port name to
make a complete URL:
https://ports.macports.org/port/cmake/details/

I also like using my Watchlist page to easily nav to my followed ports.
