I just got a new MacPro, and decided to give MacPorts a try this time around. I would like to get it up and running, but right now it is looking like I will have to go back to Fink. I didn't read the installation instructions initially, so I installed the MacPorts binary before XCode and X11, but I have since removed MacPorts, installed both XCode 2.4.1 and X11, and then reinstalled MacPorts.
I get the following log when I try to perform my initial update: ~$ sudo port -d selfupdate

If anyone has any ideas on what to try or how to proceed, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks, Nathan
