Josh,
It does work when you add libxml2. And none of the other tutorials that
i have seen on
compiling bind9 have this marked as needed ether.

It appears that bind9 uses libxml2, but it does not declare a dependency
on it. The dependency should be added, but in the meantime, installing
libxml2, cleaning bind9, and then trying the bind9 install again may work.
