We will need to see what's in that log file before we can know what went wrong.
After I sent the log I attempted the command without the 'full' and it
resumed with staging python26, installed it, and gave the advice
sudo port install python_select
sudo python_select python26
to complete the texlive installation. It's still working on the rest of
the texlive install right now. The two commands above completed in a
second shell tab.
