The official Macfuse site says 2.0.3,2 is the latest version [1]. Where are you 
seeing 2.1.7?

In any event, you are totally on your own here. We don't support non-Macports 
software. Editing the portfile is beyond the scope of the Macports-Users list 
IMHO. You need to read the guide [2] as a start.
