Are you sure you're executing /opt/local/bin/git and not /usr/bin/git? % /opt/local/bin/git help -w merge [Safari opens] % /usr/bin/git help -w merge fatal: HTML documentation is not provided by this distribution of git. % Did you just install the git port?
