Unfortunately, looking slightly in more details, it appears the patch described 
below has been applied to the master branch, which is now the code dedicated to 
the KF5 version, so that it could not be applied directly to the version in 
Macports, still based on Qt4 and KDE4.
The patch is also using an attribute available in Qt5, but not available in 
Qt4.8.5 according to the best I could find. I also tried to set 
NSHighResolutionCapable attribute in the Info.plist, but without producing any 
difference.
