I suppose you ask about "Aqua Emacs", Quartz, not X11.
Both are possibilities I am considering. I used to be an AquaEmacs
user on the macbook-pro running ElCapitan, until I dismissed it a
couple of years ago, but it was an intel already.
What I really need is support for org-mode.
I also have a version of Emacs running under classic (basically
like a terminal emulator in a mac window), I haven't tried yet
whether it runs org-mode, but I guess doesn't!
