A common reason why Ruby code is not appropriately recognized by IB is
because the IB parser fails to handle files with non-UTF8 characters in
it. If your name (or company name) has some, this could explain the first
reason.
Also, every time you re-install the Xcode package, you must re-install
MacRuby right after in order to use the IB integration. This is because
the original IB integration only supports RubyCocoa, and MacRuby
overwrites it with a new one which supports both.
