Hi all, first post and probably not replying with correct subject or message history, please tell me what I should do in my replies/posts here I havn;t been experienced enough with anything to post to mail groups before :? :-).
1) Pierre, I am having the same issue here - apic panics not affected by any append I can define - I have tried append with noapic and apic=noapic and apic=debug from the lilo config and also the command line and never seen anything different from somewhat random panics... Reboots usually work. 2) I am using the MacBookPro17" with 120GB/2GB/ATI256M and Gentoo/2.6.17.8vanilla patched from mactel-linux.org and BootCamp and rEFIt/Lilo and I have lilo complications due to trying to change the lilo config and then needing to remove things. I have a post about this at linuxquestions. 3) By way of introduction I also have modular X (7.0)and Gnome 2.14 working at 1680x1050 with accelerated proprietry ATI 8.27.something, Atheros working with wpa_supplicant/madwifi-ng and synaptics (not really ideal) and not worked out CD/DVD or keyboard properly yet. I think there is a great divide between between highly experienced users who hack things out quite naturally and people like me who are making the effort and finding that constantly posting in forum topics (because there aren't any dedicated discussion forums yet within our communities) is becoming embarrasing ;-) Best Regards, Will from apple //e to Mac Plus to the dark side to full circle MBP17 > Send Mactel-linux-users mailing list submissions to > mactel-linux-users@lists.sourceforge.net > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mactel-linux-users > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Mactel-linux-users digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
