Hi all, After all odds with the HDA sound driver, the support is pretty good, except for the following strange behavior (on a MB Pro 15, kernel 2.6.17.11-mactel).
After booting normally, the sound in the left speaker (or left earphone) seems saturated or something. Annoying cracks can be heard no matter how the output volume is set (but cracks are proportional to that volume though, as if something went wrong somewhere earlier in the processing chain). Surprisingly, the effect disappears after the snd-hda-intel module is reloaded. Anyone with the same symptoms? Another annoying thing is that the PCM volume control has no effect anymore (I just can't quite remember since what kernel version). -- Sex on TV doesn't hurt....unless you fall off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
