I have no explanation. Mine is at 100%, and when I put focus on the splitter, I hear “Horizontal Splitter, collapsed on bottom”. I am running Sonoma 14.4.1, but I don’t think the version matters because I have been doing this since Mountain Lion, macOS 10.8. I am using Column layout, formerly known as Classic View. Perhaps that makes a difference.
