Hi Randi,

I think Nigel hit reply by mistake. I forgot to add that since iTunes
8 you can also copy and paste selections from the songs table to add
them to playlists. It's nice to have another method, but this
technique means that you have to keep moving between the songs table
to do your select and copy (Command-C), and then navigate to the
sources table to select your playlist and do your paste (Command-V).
If you have lots of playlists, going back and forth gets tedious, so
the contextual menu for your selections in the songs table is easier
to use. The key is to work with and select from the songs table in
large blocks at a time, by using either the browser or the search text
field to choose what shows up in the songs table, order them by
sorting on columns (by song name, artist, album, or any column you
choose to view in the songs table -- you can check the options you
want in the View menu, or even devise your own labeling under the
"Group" or "Column" tags), and then select and add these songs as
blocks (e.g., Command-A to select all, then use the Command-Shift-M to
add to playlists as a group).

Cheers,

Esther
