Hi,
I think tables are somehow accessible with Pages 09, but I'm not sure.
In any case I have found tables in Ms Word documents to be reasonably
understandable in Textedit. The thing is that you need to know that
you are in a table, but once you know it, it's doable. What happens is
that if you have the insertion cursor at the beginning of the line, VO
will read you the first column of the table as you go down. If you
know there is an other column next to it, you just arrow through the
text of the first column on one of the rows, and if you keep going to
the right you will be able to read the text on the next column. If you
just leave the cursor there and go up and down, VO will read the 2nd
column for you. I don't know if this is understandable at all, but if
you must get something out of a table, it's definitely not impossible.
