Hi there.
I'm mainly using Amadeus pro when i do editing on the Mac. Lately  
however there hasn't been so much editing done but when it gets done,  
Amadeus is my friend. I'd also like to know if there are other  
alternatives to consider. I have tried sound studio but didn't quite  
like it and Audacity was about the same experience to me.
